B2-C1 Listening & Speaking specialty course

In the special course C1 Listening & Speaking you can prepare for the oral DSH or telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule . The main purpose of the course is to develop communicative oral skills: speaking and listening comprehension. In addition, the course gives you the opportunity to expand your vocabulary, deal with lexical difficulties in the German academic language and apply the newly learned expressions in practice.

Your daily C1 listening and speaking lessons with us look like this:

Training of listening comprehension and exam preparation at level C1
Developing listening strategies
Practice of different types of tasks
Use of model tests with diverse and appealing exercises
further expansion of your vocabulary
Extension of the syntactic and stylistic means
Acquisition of argumentative action strategies
active training in speaking and listening

In the course of the course you will practice your listening comprehension and your communicative skills in an action-oriented manner and practice them in a targeted manner in academic communication situations.
After successfully completing our C1 Listening & Speaking special course, you will gain more confidence in the free conducting of conversations on a variety of topics.

With regard to the partial competence of oral communication, the following is taught and practiced:

- Discussion techniques

With regard to the listening comprehension sub-competence, the following is taught and practiced.
- Strategies for listening comprehension (e.g. finding the most important audio text passages, recognizing structural words, etc. )
- Exercises in the transcription technique
- effective design of an oral exam
The specific course focus is determined by the teacher at the beginning of the course. The previous knowledge of the course participants is decisive.
