The telc B2-C1 Medizin exam examines the subject-related knowledge of German and is aimed at medical professionals from abroad who would like to work in Germany and must demonstrate good knowledge of German in the field of medicine.

The telc B2-C1 medicine exam is an internationally recognized language test for foreign doctors. The t elc German B2-C1 medicine exam is based on everyday work in a hospital or clinic and moves in lexicons and structures in the upper range of B2 and C1. The B2-C1 medicine certificate offers a differentiated evaluation of your language competence, ie you will find out exactly in which areas you have reached level B2 or C1.

The telc B2 C1 Medizin exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam takes about 3 hours.

• Listening comprehension: 40 minutes
• Reading comprehension: 50 minutes
• Language modules (grammar, vocabulary, spelling): 20 minutes
• Written expression: 60 minutes

The oral exam takes about 45 minutes (after 10 minutes of preparation) and usually takes place on the same day.

The telc B2-C1 Medizin exam is a scaled exam, ie it covers levels of competence B2 and C1. A telc Certificate B2 Medicine is given to participants who have achieved the partial result B2 in the oral expression sub-test and in one of the two parts of the examination listening, reading comprehension, language modules or written expression. A telc C1 certificate is given to those participants who have achieved the partial result C1 in the oral expression subtest and in one of the two parts of the examination listening, reading comprehension, language modules or written expression.

The examination is evaluated centrally at the telc headquarters in Frankfurt am Main. As soon as Perfect Deutsch has received the certificates, we will inform you by email (usually approx. 4-5 weeks after the exam date). Then you can collect your certificates at the Perfect German Examination Center during office hours on presentation of your photo ID.

Shipping is possible but must be paid for on the day of the inspection (domestic € 10, within the EU € 20). Outside the EU, we only send the certificates via express delivery (DHL) for a fee of € 90.

With a signed power of attorney and a copy of your identity card, you can have the certificate picked up by someone you trust. The person must also have ID with them.

Your certificate for a passed telc exam is valid indefinitely.

Yes. You can repeat the telc B2-C1 medicine exam as often as you like. You have to repeat the entire exam – written and oral.
