What is the telc B2-C1 Medicine specialist language test (FSP)?
The telc B2-C1 Medicine specialist language test (FSP) is an internationally recognized language test for foreign doctors. The telc German B2-C1 Medicine specialist language test is based on the everyday working life of a hospital or clinic and is in the upper range of B2 and C1 in terms of vocabulary and structures. The B2-C1 Medicine certificate offers a differentiated evaluation of your language skills, i.e. you will find out exactly in which areas you have reached level B2 or C1.

How is the language test telc Deutsch B2-C1 Medicine (FSP) structured?
The telc B2-C1 medical language exam (FSP) consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts about 1.5 hours.
The oral exam lasts about 65 minutes (after 5 minutes of preparation) and usually takes place on the same day. -

How is the exam graded?
The telc B2-C1 Medicine specialist language test (FSP) is a scaled test, i.e. it covers the competency levels B2 and C1. A telc B2 Medicine certificate is awarded to participants who have achieved the partial result B2 in the Oral Expression subtest and in one of the two test parts Listening, Reading, Language Elements or Written Expression. A telc C1 certificate is awarded to participants who have achieved the partial result C1 in the Oral Expression subtest and in one of the two test parts Listening, Reading, Language Elements or Written Expression.

When do I get the telc certificate?
The examination is evaluated centrally at the telc headquarters in Frankfurt am Main. As soon as Perfekt Deutsch has received the certificates, we will inform you by email (usually around 4-6 weeks after the examination date). You can then collect your certificates from the Perfekt Deutsch examination center during opening hours upon presentation of your photo ID.

Can the certificate also be sent to me? Also abroad?
Shipping is possible, but must be paid on the day of the test (domestic €10, within the EU €20). Outside the EU we only send the certificates by express delivery (DHL) for a fee of €90.

Can someone else pick up my certificate?
With a signed power of attorney and a copy of your ID card, you can also have the certificate picked up by a person you trust. The person must also have an ID card with them.

How long is my telc certificate valid?
Your certificate for a passed telc exam is valid indefinitely.

Can I repeat the exam?
Yes. You can repeat the telc B2-C1 medicine exam as often as you like. You have to repeat the entire exam – written and oral.
